November last year, I stumbled upon an email about the ANU Quantum Science Open Day event. It sounded fascinating, especially the tour of the Heavy Ion Accelerator. Although I wasn't very familiar with the subject, I eagerly signed up for the event. Despite many activities being fully booked, I managed to participate in several tours through walk-ins. This blog post documents my experience, complete with photos and videos from the day.

Since installing software on a supercomputer can be difficult for users, using Singularity to run containers is an excellent solution.
